Nintendo has revealed information about the performance of the Switch during the nine months since launch which ended on December 31, 2017. Unsurprisingly, the Switch as well as the games for the console continue selling exceptionally well. During this period, the Nintendo Switch sold a total of 14.86 million units.

The Switch has been performing so well thanks to the great line-up of games available on the console. It is certainly no easy feat that they have shipped so many units of the console, even with a shortage of supply at times. Due to the great success of the Switch, Nintendo has revised their predicted sales and profits for the fiscal year which ends on March 31, 2018.  The current forecast predicts that the company will ship 17.74 million units by March 31. The new numbers are significantly higher than what was listed in the previous forecast.

We’ll have to wait and see if Nintendo’s great success continues throughout this year. It’s certainly possible if great video games are released consistently released for the console.
