Black Myth: Zhong Kui 

Black Myth: Wukong was one of the biggest surprise hits of recent memory, but developer Game Science has ensured that it has more games in the pipeline. Much like how Wukong took players to amazing worlds and made them face against awesome bosses, Zhong Kui is all set to take things up a notch above its predecessor. We don’t really know much about the game at this point in time, but it’s going to be a fast-paced adventure with plenty of boss fights and picturesque vistas. There is no release period announced yet.

Kicking things off on a creepy note, Xue Fan is swiftly introduced in a fight against the game’s protagonist, where he gets to show off quite a few of his moves. More of the character’s capabilities are then showcased, giving us a look at how Xue Fan would work in the game’s PvP mode.

Capping things off, the studio has also revealed that it will be kicking off a pre-alpha test for The Hidden Ones. Those interested can get access to the pre-alpha test by registering on the official website. Access will also be distributed through social media giveaways, as well as through Twitch Drop rewards.

The pre-alpha for The Hidden Ones will be kicking off on February 17 on PC and Android. To take part, players will need at minimum an Intel i7 9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or an Intel Arc A580 GPU, and 16 GB of RAM along with 40 GB of storage.

The studio recommends an Intel i7 10700KF or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU, and 32GB of RAM.

Android devices will need to run on at least a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 or Dimensity 9000 SoC and have 8 GB of RAM. The recommended smartphone specs are a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 or Dimensity 9200 SoC and 12 GB of RAM. The Hidden Ones will weigh in at 35 GB on Android.

The Hidden Ones is a 3D fighting game that will have an emphasis on PvP. Along with competing against others, players can also take on the game’s story mode, which will feature its own boss fights, complete with cinematic cutscenes and massive set pieces.

If you played and enjoyed Assassin’s Creed Origins, then there’s some new content out today. The game’s first DLC The Hidden Ones is now live on all platforms and it brings a new region called Sinai, new story missions and a bunch of powerful gear to pursue.

The Hidden Ones DLC also includes a level cap increase along with new outfits and mounts. Retailing for $10, it’s also included with the game’s Season Pass. If you’re not too included to pick up some extra outfits, then it’s not a bad idea to pick up the DLC standalone and repeat this for the Curse of the Pharaohs DLC (which costs $20 standalone).

Along with the DLC, a new update was made available last week that added a new quest called “Incoming Threat”. This serves as a prelude to the DLC’s events. You can also expect more items in Heka Chests and the option to sell outfits to weavers.

The next big adventure for Assassin’s Creed Origins players is out on January 23rd with The Hidden Ones. This paid DLC will take place several years after the base game and see Bayek battling against the Roman Empire’s soldiers in the Sinai region. He’ll also engage with the shadowy Hidden Ones and attempt to cement the Brotherhood with his wife Aya.

To help prepare for The Hidden Ones, players can complete the free quest “Incoming Threat” which was added in a free update. Bayek will travel to the Sinai Peninsula and eventually face off against Roman enemies while assisting rebels. New gear and weapons will be featured in the DLC along with an increased level cap from 40 to 45.

To that end, the developer recommends being level 40 before starting the DLC. Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones will be available with the $40 Season Pass and as a standalone DLC as well. It releases simultaneously on Xbox One, PS4 and PC tomorrow.

While other titles like Destiny 2 will make fans wait for long-requested changes, Ubisoft has a ton of new content coming to Assassin’s Creed Origins. The first is The Hidden Ones DLC available for $9.99 standalone and included with the Season Pass. It adds a new story where Bayek travels to a new region to encounter the Romans and increases the level cap to 45.

The next free update is the Discovery Tour mode coming on February 20^th. It essentially takes you on a guided tour of Europe without any of the quests or combat, functioning as more of a historical lesson than anything else. Those who are interested in the Discovery Tour mode alone and not the base game can purchase the former separately for $19.99.

Finally, the second DLC pack is The Curse of the Pharaohs, priced at $19.99 and raising the level cap to 55. Available on March 6^th, this DLC pack will go to Thebes as players encounter mythological beasts and a curse that’s raising the dead. You can also expect to earn new gear and weapons and fight new enemies. Like The Hidden Ones, The Curse of the Pharaohs will also be included with the Season Pass.

The latest patch for Assassin’s Creed: Origins will be arriving on January 16^th and offers a new quest to set up The Hidden Ones DLC. “Incoming Threat” is the name of the quest but the update will also add support for the DLC if you already own it via the Season Pass. Other new content in this update includes new Heka Chest items from the Nightmare, Gladiator, Almighty and First Civilization packs among others.

The update will also introduce a number of big fixes like improved behaviour for tamed animals, a fix for the Chain Attack not working at times and so on. The patch will be 3 GB on PS4 and Xbox One, 1.2 GB for Steam users and 2.6 GB for Uplay.

The Hidden Ones DLC will add quite a bit of content on its own with a new storyline where Bayek must tackle the Romans. There will be a new region to explore, an increase to the max level cap and presumably new gear to obtain. Check out the rest of the patch notes below:

Ubisoft continues to support Assassin’s Creed Origins with a free update out this month, the first paid DLC for the game and the return of Trials of the Gods. The free update will essentially be a new quest to celebrate the release of the Hidden Ones DLC. However, it will also allow players to sell outfits at weaver shops. Items from the Nightmare, First Civilization and Gladiator packs among others can also be obtained.

Trials of the Gods will also be returning but you’ll only be able to fight against two of the super bosses this time around. On January 9th to 16th, it’s Anubis while Sobek returns on January 23rd to 30th. Defeating them nets you a chance at some powerful gear and unique armour but be prepared – fighting them isn’t a walk in the park.

Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones doesn’t quite have a solid release date but expect more information to be available soon. The DLC takes place after the base game and sees Bayek heading to the Sinai Peninsula to tussle with Roman soldiers. It will also examine events that took place after the Brotherhood was founded.
