Available for PS4, Ace Combat 7: Skies of Unknown sees players controlling Trigger, a fighter pilot serving his penance while Osea and Erusea wage war. Launched in 2019, Bandai Namco’s air combat title has sold over seven million copies and earned critical acclaim. If you’re the least bit interested in Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, then it’s absolutely worth playing Ace Combat 7 first.

Subnautica: Below Zero is somewhat less mandatory before the next game enters early access this year. Coming to PS4 and PS5 subscribers, it offers new characters, biomes, creatures, and mechanics, such as surface exploration. Not as acclaimed as the original, but it’s still one of the better survival crafting adventures out there.

The same goes for ULTROS on PS4 and PS5, at least in the sci-fi side-scrolling department. With trippy visuals courtesy of El Huervo (Hotline Miami) and an incredible soundtrack, it’s an adventure unlike most. And if realistic boxing is your poison, Undisputed, available exclusively for PS5, could be worthwhile. With over 70 fighters and dozens of Attributes and Traits to master, there’s a lot to keep you busy.

As is the case with any trailer for Ultros, however, the game’s unique art style is on full display. The trailer features several slow-panning shots of various scenes and levels from the game, showcasing the colourful, psychedelic art style in full force.

Ultros is slated for release on February 13, and will be coming to PC, PS4 and PS5. The release date for the game was announced with its own trailer back in December. The game is set to feature fast-paced combat and will have players bursting out combos with melee weapons as they dodge and jump their way out of enemy attacks.

The developer has described the combat in Ultros as brutal and driven by a sense of urgency. Ultros will also feature a gardening system, and players will have to try and tend and cultivate greenery in the game’s world of The Sarcophagus.

The trailer showcases the story in Ultros, as well as the game’s incredibly-bright colour palette and art style. Ultros takes place in an alien setting where players will make use of different abilities to explore the world, which is set in outer space.

The game also features fast-paced combat that will have players busting out combos with melee weapons as the dodge and jump their way out of enemy attacks. The game’s combat has been described by the developer as brutal and driven by a sense of urgency. On the flip side of combat is the game’s gardening mechanic, which has the player tending to to and cultivating greenery in The Sarcophagus.

Alongside the standard edition of the game being available for pre-order, Ultros also has a Deluxe Edition that comes with a digital art book, as well as the game’s soundtrack by musician El Huervo.
