Developer Hadoque has announced that its colourful side-scrolling metroidvania Ultros will be coming to PC, PS4 and PS5 on February 13. The studio made the announcement with a new trailer which you can check out below.

The trailer showcases the story in Ultros, as well as the game’s incredibly-bright colour palette and art style. Ultros takes place in an alien setting where players will make use of different abilities to explore the world, which is set in outer space.

The game also features fast-paced combat that will have players busting out combos with melee weapons as the dodge and jump their way out of enemy attacks. The game’s combat has been described by the developer as brutal and driven by a sense of urgency. On the flip side of combat is the game’s gardening mechanic, which has the player tending to to and cultivating greenery in The Sarcophagus.

Alongside the standard edition of the game being available for pre-order, Ultros also has a Deluxe Edition that comes with a digital art book, as well as the game’s soundtrack by musician El Huervo.
