Alleged leak talks about the game based around a future Batman and what comes next.

Ever since Batman: Arkham Knight came out, both Batman and the developers that worked on that series (Warner Bros. Montreal and Rocksteady Studios, specifically) have gone into hiding. While there’s been lots of teasing and rumors, we’ve yet to see anything official about the future of the franchise since 2015. Now, an anonymous leak might be able to shine light on something that could have been, with details and concept art from an alleged canceled Arkham Knight sequel.

The rumor came from a 4chan source that has since been deleted, but the concept art was caught beforehand, which you can see below, and which some quick Reddit users managed to sum up the details for.

The game allegedly took place in the future and followed a new Batman in the form of Damian Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne. It would have featured a run down, near-abandoned Gotham and featured the likes of an aged Two-Face known as The Judge, a new Posion Ivy, a female Black Mask, and some more off the wall villains like Gorilla Grodd and Flamingo (all of those, with the exception of Flamingo, are in the alleged concept art). There were no plot details given, but the poster did say a Nemesis System of some kind would have been in the game, similar to Monolith’s Middle-Earth titles.

As always with leaks of this nature, especially from anonymity-based sources like 4chan, we have to file it away as a rumor. But I will say that if this is fake, a lot of work went into it, since the artwork looks very official, and no one has found similar fan mock ups as of writing this.

Along with this material, the leaker also said there was a canceled Suicide Squad game, something we’ve heard before, and that Warner Bros. Montreal is working on a new Arkham title, which lines up with hints the developer have dropped recently. As far as Rocksteady, they’ve only said they were working on a “superhero creation” game of some kind, with no other details.

Assuming this is all real, it’s interesting to speculate exactly what happened. Since the Arkham games have been critical and commercial successes, what made the production get canceled will probably be a mystery that may never be known. It seems whatever happened delayed both developers, pretty significantly, as it’s been nearly 5 years since we’ve heard anything official from Rocksteady, and almost 7 for Warner Bros. Montreal. Hopefully, we’ll see something from either of them soon.

It's been over four years since the last mainline Batman Arkham game released and almost three since since Batman: Arkham VR. Just where the hell is Rocksteady's next game?

The Batman: Arkham series are incredibly popular action games, and are the games to check out within Rocksteady’s already-small portfolio. So you would think that following up on the series periodically would be an obvious course of action. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City both released in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and Arkham Knight released in 2015, with the virtual reality title Arkham VR releasing in the following year. But why haven’t there been new titles since the release of Arkham Knight, their last major work for the Arkham franchise? We have had a lot of hype and promises, but in terms of delivery in the form of a new game, nothing.

Rocksteady is a British game development company, wholly owned by Warner Bros., though prior to this Square-Enix did own some share of the company, while Warner Bros would still hold majority stake during that time. An appearance from Rocksteady was eagerly anticipated at E3 this year, but the company would skip on the festivities, much to the dismay of waiting fans. This tweet states from game director and Rocksteady co-founder Sefton Hill states that the company would be working on their next big project in the meantime. But it’s quite some time to go without releases, even after the release of Arkham VR.

As you might expect, this wouldn’t even be the first time that a new Rocksteady game has been anticipated or teased – and not even just a new Batman game. Rumors of a new Superman game back in 2017 might come to mind – and when was the last great Superman game released? And this year, rumors of a Justice League game, though traced back to a tweet from a new hire for the company, and not in any way indicative of a new project rather than simply being a picture of the Justice League. Those following news about Rocksteady as a studio may have been treated to the whirlwind hype of a new Outlaws game – Outlaws being the name of a vigilante group within DC Comics. The Outlaws are particularly interesting considering that they are led by a character named Red Hood, and that character is an alias most associated with Jason Todd.

Jason Todd is an important name because he has also assumed the role of Robin, Batman’s sidekick, within DC comics lore, although it may be argued the name of Robin is more associated with Dick Grayson. But it’s not just this – major spoiler warnings for Arkham Knight, but THE Arkham Knight in Batman: Arkham Knight is also Jason Todd. Todd harbored anger against Batman as he felt that Batman abandoned him, and retains scars after he was tortured by the Joker, but Todd also saves Batman later in the climax of the game.

Suffice it to say, Arkham Knight left something of an opening for an Outlaws game, and the hype surrounding Outlaws was believable at the time, including an accompanying piece of box art that circulated with the rumors…but for the fact that it was all for naught, and later proven to be fake. It can be a trying experience to be someone watching for news from Rocksteady Twitter accounts. Perhaps nothing encapsulates that experience as this tweet from 2017 – asking for patience, and promising something that’s going to make everyone lose their minds. It’s fair to say that fans will have lost their patience waiting for whatever the new project is supposed to be that’s supposed to be making everyone excited. “Wait…for news, eventually!” But that can feel increasingly difficult to ask, since it has been some years.

It is however understandable that there are still Arkham fans waiting for more games in the franchise – the media that made the company what it is, and what created such a fervent base and an impatient and watching games media – us included. Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed that in February, Rocksteady put out job postings on their website meant for a global promotional campaign of a major triple-A game. We’ve yet to see what that campaign would be for, but it at least suggests that Rocksteady plans on promoting something.

For those hoping for comment on the Arkham series separately from the company, this tweet from Batman voice actor (from the Arkham series) Kevin Conroy might offer some hope. It may be worth considering that the tweet was made at the end of this past June, and so while it’s not necessarily indicative of an Arkham game in particular being in the pipeline, it’s much more reason for optimism rather than seeing a celebratory tweet that gets left by the wayside, only to be seen as something commemorating a triumph for the company in years past. And considering that Conroy’s tweet asks “but why stop there?”, it’s a rather aggressive suggestion at least asking for more Arkham games or, more optimistically, suggesting that the Caped Crusader’s adventures in the Arkham games will continue soon. That tweet, perhaps, is not as aggressive as this one.

Congratulating the company on its new hires, and then asking for them to get to work on a new Arkham game. And that tweet is dated to late May of this year. Even if there weren’t a new Arkham game in the works, it’s nice to have such an ardent champion in the games in someone so clearly relevant to the franchise as the voice actor himself for Batman in the Arkham franchise. While he can’t promise anything since he doesn’t work in game development, it’s also something of a relief nonetheless to see him speak, because his support is unambiguous.

And that concludes our article talking about where the hell Rocksteady’s new game is supposed to be. The Arkham games clearly sell well, and are very popular. They star one of the most popular American comic book superheroes of all time in Batman, an icon whose status as such has with stood the test of time. Beyond just the status of Batman himself, the Batman franchise is host to a diverse rogues gallery – an absolute boon for comic book heroes – and a great cast of accompanying characters to create conflict with Batman and show more dimensions to the character, or to generally raise the stakes in a story.

These games cemented Rocksteady’s status as a studio capable of delivering popular triple-A games, and outside of such high-profile and high-development games, it doesn’t seem like Rocksteady has anything else planned. It simply remains the case that for reasons that we cannot ascertain, Rocksteady is unwilling to go public with whatever their next new project is. There clearly is something new in the works, and it has repeatedly been outwardly promoted by Rocksteady that there is something being worked on. But, as it has been for the past years, we are left with nothing but to wait.

Tell us what you expect the next Rocksteady game to be. Do you think that we are going to get another Arkham game, or will we be receiving something entirely new – another DC Comics property, or something entirely outside of these safer bounds of speculation – a new IP, or a non-comics license? Why do you think that it has taken so long for the announcement of Rocksteady’s new game? Your guess is as good as ours – the company doesn’t lack the skill or support for whatever they wish to work on. Might it have anything to do with an impending console generation transition for the Playstation and Xbox brands? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Rumors about a new Batman: Arkham game have been rumbling around for the last few months but it appears WB Games has come close as ever to formally announcing such a title is on the way. The company teased an upcoming announcement with the above photo, saying that everyone should “save the date” for March 8, 2017.

So why do we think this announcement is for a new Batman: Arkham game? The style of the picture seems to copy every last detail from what we’ve seen from previous games in the series including the style and lettering.

Now the question is whether or not the world even wants yet another one of these games. Batman: Arkham Knight, although an excellent game, was largely divisive within the game’s community, not to mention the disastrous PC port.

We won’t have to wait long to see if this new game might be able to get people excited again. We’ll find out for sure on March 8.

Everything you need to know about Lego City Undercover.

Lego City Undercover is a comedic sandbox-based action adventure game set in the world of Lego characters. The game has been developed by TT Fusion and is published by Nintendo as well as Warner Bros Interactive. The game has been available on the Wii U since 2013 but it is being produced for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC and will be released on those formats at an unannounced date in 2017.

+ Quick Jump To

1. Development

2.
Development

TT Fusion has made comments that the development team has been wanting to make a Lego game for quite some time. In order to do this, they worked on a kind of prototype that ended up being Lego City Undercover. This version of the game was first created back in 2010. The team has said the development for this first game lasted about a year and they didn’t really know what they wanted to do just yet so they created a game where people could just drive around a Lego city. Nintendo saw the prototype and approached the team about developing the game exclusively for the Wii U. The team had to find a way to get the game to take advantage of the Wii U gamepad as part of the development of the game.

In order to bring a kind of realistic look to the game, the development team used locations from New York and San Francisco, as well as other real world big cities as a model. The development team has said it included quite a few Nintendo themed Easter Eggs into the game in order for players to find. Now that the title is going to be on formats other than the Wii U, it’s unclear whether these Easter Eggs will be allowed to stay in the game untouched or whether they will be adapted for those other platforms.

The game was officially announced at the 2011 E3, and it was announced as coming to the Wii U in 2013. It was released across the United States, North America, and Europe, as well as Japan in November of 2013. For quite a while the game was expected to remain only on the Wii U, but it was announced it was coming to other platforms in 2016. On November 22, 2016, it was announced through the game’s official Twitter account that it was going to be remade for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the PC.

Story

The story of Lego City Undercover has players taking on the role of police detective Chase McCain. The officer is returning to Lego City after years of being away, because he has found that the city is under the grips of a crime wave, the likes of which no one has ever seen. Chase has his work cut out for him, because his old nemesis has somehow escaped from prison and is leading this apparent influx of crime. The police force is under fire for allowing this escape to happen and McCain has been called in under the nose of the chief. The Mayor himself has asked for the famed detective to get back into the game, and he will have to go undercover in order to figure out how to stop the explosion of crime.

Chase will even have to try and infiltrate the very group of thugs he’s trying to take down, using a number of different costumes in order to fool his enemies into thinking he is their ally. At the crux of the story is whether or not Chase can stay one step ahead of his old nemesis and take down the newly resurgent criminal enterprise.

Gameplay

Lego City Undercover utilizes a third-person point of view in order to help Chase McCain move about the city and take down criminals. There is the standard building mechanic that has been seen in many of the Lego games, though this is much more of an action adventure that takes advantage of a number of different combat systems. The most prominent combat system in the game is a special Lego version of hand to hand combat. Chase McCain will attempt to beat his opponents into the ground until he’s able to slap the cuffs on them and officially arrest them.

The game has also come up with a new way to get around the city, as the main character will utilize free running, as well as jumping, climbing, and otherwise getting around the city using specific blue and white bricks that pop up in various locations around the environment. Players will not only have to go through the city on foot, they will also be able to drive and fly using various vehicles that are set up in the bustling metropolis. For the Wii U, the game took advantage of the gamepad as a kind of tool that allowed Chase McCain to communicate with other characters. The gamepad also was able to bring up a map in order to help players get around the area. It’s unclear how these functions have been incorporated into the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Chase McCain will also utlize a number of disguises and costumes, as well as vehicles that go along with those costumes in order to take down his enemies.

Chase McCain is the main character of Lego City Undercover and he is the chief protagonist attempting to take down a criminal gang. Rex Fury is the criminal mastermind who has escaped from prison and leads the criminals in Lego City. Frank Honey is a young cop who idolizes Chase and wants to help Chase. Chief Dunby is Chase’s boss at the city’s police force. Natalia Kowalski is an ambulance driver that will help Chase at various points in the game.

Note: This wiki will be updated once we have more information about the game.

Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman are all playable as the Dark Knight's allies.

Along with a brand new Batman: Arkham Knight video some new screenshots have surfaced thanks to Warner Bros. Interactive. The screens further show off a recently revealed feature of the game that allows players to switch between the Dark Knight and a number of his most trusted allies. The new release admits that Batman is going to need some help to defeat the minions of the Arkham Knight as well as the other deadly enemies in the new game.

Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman are all willing and able to help the caped crusader out. Warner Bros. says that during scenes in which these characters are present, players will actually be able to switch back and forth and decide who they want to kick a little butt with. The feature dubbed “Dual Play” is said to allow gamers to switch between the playable characters seamlessly.

While this feature isn’t brand new to the gaming world, (Lego games use it all the time) it is relatively new for a game of this type and scope. The new screens show off the “Dual Play” feature in action, as one demonstrates Catwoman and Batman taking on what appear to be mechanized baddies. Another screen has Robin and the Dark Knight taking on some of the Joker’s minions and another has Nightwing and Batman scoping out evildoers from far above the fray.

Batman: Arkham Knight is arriving on the Sony Playstation 4, the Microsoft Xbox One and the PC on June 23. Until then check out the screens and start drooling.

Test your might.

Like any young boy of the late ‘80s or early ’90s, I grew up in the arcade, and as anyone who spent time in an arcade knows, that meant I played a lot of fighting games. There were a ton of them, but only two really mattered, at least in the 2D space: Capcom’s Street Fighter, and Midway’s Mortal Kombat. In those days, you were either a Mortal Kombat guy, or a Street Fighter guy. Don’t get me wrong, I dumped quarters into Street Fighter like there was no tomorrow, but I was a Mortal Kombat fan at heart. There was nothing else like it. People crowded around the machines, always waiting for that one guy who knew how to do all the Fatalities. Mortal Kombat, to put it bluntly, was hype.

At least, for the first three games. The series began to suffer after an ill-advised move into 3D and years of financial mismanagement at publisher Midway, both of which began in the late ‘90s. By the early 2000s, facing Midway’s bankruptcy and a changing landscape that threw the franchise’s relevance into question, it seemed that the once iconic series might be facing its own mortality. But fate had a different plan in store, and an unlikely savior came in the form of Warner Bros. Interactive, who purchased many of Midway’s assets, including developer Midway Studios Chicago and the Mortal Kombat IP.

What followed was nothing short of a rebirth. Midway Games Chicago became NetherRealm Studios, and set to work developing the next entry in the storied franchise, known simply as Mortal Kombat. The game rebooted the series convoluted storyline and overabundance of characters, opting to focus instead on the characters and story in the original Mortal Kombat trilogy, and return the series to its 2D roots. The game was an incredible success, combining a tournament level fighting engine and depth of gameplay with the series’ trademark characters and brutality. It was a return to form for a franchise that had lost its way, and easily one of the best fighters of the previous generation.

" Let’s not beat around the bush: Mortal Kombat X is one of the finest fighters I’ve ever played, and easily the best game NetherRealm has ever produced on a mechanical level.

And now, finally, nearly 4 years later, NetherRealm has returned to the series that made them famous with Mortal Kombat X (the letter, not the number, though this is the tenth game in the series). Let’s not beat around the bush: Mortal Kombat X is one of the finest fighters I’ve ever played, and easily the best game NetherRealm has ever produced on a mechanical level. It feels like the game NetherRealm has always wanted to make, and one that has learned the lessons from the previous Mortal Kombat.

The game’s story picks up 25 years after the events of 2011’s Mortal Kombat. As such, the cast is a mixture of several old klassics (yes, we’re going there) and a few new faces. Most of the old standbys return: Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Kitana, Sonya Blade, and Johnny Cage, to name a few, though there are a few notable absences. There are, for instance, no cyber-ninjas to choose from, and other longtime members of Mortal Kombat’s cast like Shang Tsung, Jade, and Nightwolf are missing in action.

A large part of this is due to the nature of what happened in Mortal Kombat’s story the last time around, and most of the omissions are understandable as a result. What’s baffling, however, is that some of the characters that haven’t retuned appear in MKX’s story mode, and you even fight against a few of them. They’re not as fleshed out as the playable characters, as they only have one fighting style (more on that in a minute), but it’s still frustrating for fans of those characters to see them so close to being playable.

"Each member of the game’s 25 character roster features three different variations, or fighting styles. While the core concepts of the character don’t change, each variation focuses on a different aspect of said character’s abilities, tweaking and adding special moves, normal attacks, and kombos.

NetherRealm makes up for this in two ways. The first is that the variations are often fairly subtle, but have a huge impact on how the characters play. One of Scorpion’s variations, for instance, allows him to wield two swords, offering new kombos, while another allows access to a number of fire-based special moves, and a third lets Scorpion to summon a demon that can aid him while attacking.

Some variations change the characters entirely. Kitana’s Mournful variation gives her access to all of Jade’s special moves from Mortal Kombat’s 2011 reboot, essentially making her Jade. Meanwhile, Quan Chi’s Sorcerer variation takes a lot of its move set from Shang Tsung. Many of the characters don’t have variants with such extreme changes in style, and it seems that NetherRealm ran out of ideas for three meaningful variations in some cases, but the sheer number of options on display is impressive and adds substantial depth and replay value to the game. In addition, it gives NetherRealm the option to preserve the move sets of some of the older characters, even if the character in question does not appear as a playable character in the game.

That said, it can be rather annoying to see certain characters carved up piecemeal, especially when they worked so well in the last game. In the 2011 Mortal Kombat, Scorpion had access to both his fire abilities and swords at the same time, and it made for a great character. The same thing could be said for Sub-Zero and his ice weapons and ability to create frost doubles. Having to pick makes some of these characters feel incomplete, though I would ultimately say that the overall benefits outweigh the costs, if just barely.

"Mortal Kombat X’s story mode is easily one of the best you’ll find in fighting games. You’ll go from story sequences to battles seamlessly and switch between a number of characters over the twelve chapter arc, which is brilliantly paced and has removed the filler elements and difficulty spikes that plagued its predecessor.

The second way NetherRealm makes up for the loss is with the introduction of completely new characters. Many of these come in the form of the offspring of returning characters, like Cassie Cage, the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, and Takashi Takeda, Kenshi’s son, who offer new twists on old move sets. The best additions, however, come from new characters like Erron Black, an outlaw gunslinger, D’vorah, an insect-like creature, and Kotal Khan, the new ruler of Outworld, who bring completely new fighting styles to the table, greatly expanding the number of unique move sets to play with.

Like 2011’s reboot, one of the best parts of Mortal Kombat X is its story mode, and like the 2011 game, Mortal Kombat X’s story mode is easily one of the best you’ll find in fighting games. You’ll go from story sequences to battles seamlessly and switch between a number of characters over the twelve chapter arc, which is brilliantly paced and has removed the filler elements and difficulty spikes that plagued its predecessor. NetherRealm’s storytelling prowess is backed by great voice acting and a surprisingly compelling plot that contains more than a few surprises for series fans, but the real standout is the improvements to the game’s presentation.

Characters and environments are incredibly detailed and beautifully rendered, and animations are smoother than they’ve ever been. Mortal Kombat has always gotten some flak for being stiff, but that stiffness is gone in Mortal Kombat X, as kombos are more fluid the game is exceptionally well animated. Simply put, Mortal Kombat is one of the smoothest, best looking fighting games on the market.

"By far the craziest mode is Test Your Luck, which puts you into matches with randomly selected modifiers that can do anything from spawn portals throughout the stage to change the game physics or even fade the screen to black and back throughout the match. The more modifiers you enable, the crazier things get.

Many of the old gameplay elements from the last game return, including the special bar that allows you to break kombos, perform brutal x-ray moves, and enhance special abilities, but NetherRealm has also brought over stage interactions, which function much like they did in Injustice, allowing you to make quick escapes and use pieces of the environment against your foe. The other new addition is the stamina meter, which prevents you from constantly dashing in an attempt to control the stage. In addition, the interactive elements of each area are only available to you if you have enough stamina, meaning you’ll have to keep an eye on it if you really want to use the stage to your advantage. Stamina recharges on its own, and does so pretty quickly, but it takes long enough to make it a consideration during most matches.

As you’d expect from a NetherRealm fighter, Mortal Kombat X is packed with content that complements its gameplay, even if you’re not a fan of the game’s story mode. Towers make a triumphant return, offering an arcade-like challenge as well as a number of themed battles that will test you in a variety of ways. The Klassic Tower offers a traditional ladder to climb, while the Test Your Might features the titular mini-game from the original Mortal Kombat, which gets harder as you advance up the tower.

By far the craziest mode is Test Your Luck, which puts you into matches with randomly selected modifiers that can do anything from spawn portals throughout the stage to change the game physics or even fade the screen to black and back throughout the match. The more modifiers you enable, the crazier things get. These modifiers are also key to the new Living Towers, which offer both modifiers and fixed challenges, and change every hour, every day, or every week depending on the tower.

"No matter what mode you play, you’ll unlock “koins,” Mortal Kombat X’s form of in-game currency, which can be used to unlock Fatalities, Brutalities, costumes, concept art, and more in the game’s Krypt, which is basically a first-person adventure game.

Mortal Kombat X also introduces Faction War. When you first boot up the game, you’re asked to choose one of five factions (the correct choice, by the way, is Lin Kuei). From that point on, every match you play will earn points for your faction and increase your Faction Rank. At the end of each week, the faction with the most points rewards its members with a Faction Kill (think simpler versions of Fatalities) or special item. Every now and then, special events known as invasions will occur, challenging you to fight against a character with extreme rules, known as an Invasion Boss, or test your might against an Invasion Tower. The more you play, the more you benefit your faction. Neither Faction War nor Invasions, in and of themselves, are compelling enough to keep you playing, but they do provide fun bonuses to chase while you check out the other modes.

Naturally, the best way to play Mortal Kombat is on a couch with friends, but nearly every mode in the game supports online play from King of the Hill to Team Battle and Online Practice, and all of it is supported by the best netcode NetherRealm has put together yet. It’s not perfect; you will still get bad matches from time to time, but as long as you’re playing against someone within a couple hundred miles, you’ll probably be okay.

No matter what mode you play, you’ll unlock “koins,” Mortal Kombat X’s form of in-game currency, which can be used to unlock Fatalities, Brutalities, costumes, concept art, and more in the game’s Krypt, which is basically a first-person adventure game. The areas in the Krypt are filled with tombstones, sarcophagi, and other creepy containers that can be unlocked with koins to acquire all kinds of goodies.

"It’s that attention to detail, which permeates the whole game, that makes Mortal Kombat X special. Everything from the little touches, like the way two characters face off on the character select screen before heading into battle, to the little intricacies of the improved combat system, make Mortal Kombat X great.

The catch is that you never know what you’re buying until you’ve purchased it. Unless, of course, you’re using a guide or something, which is doable, as NetherRealm was kind enough to put a coordinates system into the Krypt that shows you where you are at any given point. It’s an incredible environment to explore, and one you’ll want to, as you’ll need to find items in the environment to unlock new areas in the Krypt. NetherRealm clearly put a lot of time into the area, and it shows, as traversing it is one of the most enjoyable parts of Mortal Kombat X.

It’s that attention to detail, which permeates the whole game, that makes Mortal Kombat X special. Everything from the little touches, like the way two characters face off on the character select screen before heading into battle, to the little intricacies of the improved combat system, make Mortal Kombat X great. There are little niggles – the in-game microtransactions on everything from Krypt items to easier Fatalities, the lack of certain characters – but these are exceptionally minor complaints against a game that does nearly everything well.

Mortal Kombat X is not for everyone. The extreme violence on display will no doubt turn some people off, but it never gets in the way of the actual fighting, which is the best the series has ever seen. It’s simply the result of how you play: either your punishment for failure, or a reward you can choose to indulge in for mastering the art of Mortal Kombat. MKX isn’t a flawless victory, not quite, but its damn close, and even after these years, it still has the power to bring a group of my friends together to watch Fatalities and swap controllers, waiting for just one more round. Now then, who’s next?

Creator says there is a "window of time" for NetherRealm to include the character.

Cult comic book anti-hero Spawn could appear in NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat X but this will be completely up to the developer, according to creator Todd McFarlane in an interview with GamerFitNation.

As McFarlane states, “They have access to be able to use the character in a couple of their games, if they want to.” This is as per a deal the studio has with Warner Bros. Interactive. “Again, it’s up to their discretion. I gave them a window of time, so I’ll just leave it to them to do what it is that they want.

“Eventually, they’ll phone me and they’ll go, ‘Hey, we want to use him here. Is that OK?’ Well, technically, it’s OK because we’ve already said yes. They just are letting us know. I don’t know if they’re ever going to use him.”

Techland have released their new teaser / tutorial for their popular new Zombie game Dying Light. The games Lead Designer Maciej Binkows gives you a tour through the hunt with the Lone Night Hunter and shows off a number of advanced skills that you can make use of to become a better hunter when you invade another survivors game.

They are also offering a deal for gamers that take the time to watch the trailer, but you can also skip to the end if you’re not particularly interested in the subject matter. At the end of the video, you can find a code that will give you access to a weapon docket. You can hand this in to the quartermaster who will then give you a high tier weapon in exchange.

Speaking about the trailer, Maciej Binkows says, “With asymmetric PvP multiplayer continually ‘evolving’ we created this cheeky little video of our Be The Zombie mode as a bit of a salute to this awesome trend.”

Even the mighty are capable of goofing pretty hard. That even applies to world spanning online retailers, actually it’s especially applicable to them. One such example would be the recent spoiler post from Amazon that occurred when they posted the first image of Batman: Arkham Knight’s Limited Edition.

The Following May Contain Spoliers. The image that Amazon posted contained a picture of the Limited Editions Statue which features the caped crusader standing above Gotham City, above a sign which reads “From a Grateful City In Memory of the Gotham Knight”, obviously implying that Batman dies in the game.

The Amazon listing even goes so far as to say “an imposing Batman memorial statue commemorating Gotham’s protector, the Dark Knight”. Since then they have replaced the image with one that simply reads “The Gotham Knight”. What do you think of the spoiler? Or better yet, what are your personal theories on the games’ plot? Shout out in the comments below.

Thanks, VideoGamer.

Developers will do everything they can to hit 60fps.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor might be one of the surprise packages of 2014. We saw the game at E3 2014 and the game’s nemesis system, a mechanic which memorizes the player’s interactions with characters that they will encounter in the game and dynamically changes their relationship with the character, is intriguing.

But what about the technical aspects of the game? Given that the game is coming out on PS4 and Xbox One, can players expect the game to run at 1080p and 60fps on both consoles? It certainly seems the case for the PlayStation 4 version.

“It’s definitely 1080p and we are going to do everything we can to get to 60 frames per second, ” Monolith’s Studio Head Kevin Stephens said in a 2 hour long live stream of the game conducted by TwinGalaxies.

When asked about the Xbox One version, the developers simply did not respond. Don’t ask me why.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is due for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on October 7th. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
