Terraria 1.2 Update Adds 1000 New Items and 100 New Enemies

The game's biggest update yet is finally live.

It may not be as big as Minecraft when it comes to next-generation promotion, but Re-Logic’s Terraria is still doing great. The developer recently announced that its 1.2 update is live, and has outlined a full list of patch notes (that can be viewed on PCGamesN).

The long and short of it is that the new update brings a host of changes to the game’s presentation, upgrading the art and music while adding 1000 new items, 100 new enemies, 15 new pets, four new types of wood and four new bosses. That’s a lot of content for a simple update, and Re-Logic has promised that there will be a fair number of secrets to discover as well.

Terraria functions a lot like Minecraft in its sand-box, open world approach – except that it takes place from a 2D side-scrolling perspective. It has since garnered a huge amount of critical and commercial success. The developer is currently working on a new project.
