The Ascent’s PC Version Has DLSS and Ray-Tracing on Steam, but Not Game Pass

Thankfully, developer Neon Giant is aware of the issues, and is looking into fixes, so hopefully it won't be too long before they're addressed.

The Ascent has divided opinion upon launch, and it seems there’s just as many people who love the game as there are those who have numerous issues with it. We fall in the former camp, but for all of its strengths, the game has launched with a few issues that hopefully developer Neon Giant will fix in the near future. One such problem in the game’s PC version is quite bizarre.

Unlike The Ascent’s Xbox Series X/S version, on PC, the game features support for both DLSS and ray-tracing– but it seems even that isn’t entirely true. While support for both is indeed included in the game’s Steam version, it seems the same isn’t true for the Game Pass version. DLSS simply included in it, and while it does have an option for enabling ray-tracing, it doesn’t work.

Thankfully, the developer is aware of this issue and says it’s looking into it, so hopefully it won’t be too long before fixes arrive.

The Ascent is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
