Stoic Studios’ The Banner Saga 3 has concluded its Kickstarter campaign and managed to earn $416,986 courtesy of 8,086 backers. The original crowd-funding amount was set at $200,000 and it’s good to see the sequel more than doubling that amount.
Stoic co-founder John Watson said that, “The support from backers and the community has been amazing, and it’s humbling to know that RTS fans around the world really want to support us. The additional funds will be invested into bringing as much of our intended vision to the final game and rewarding our backers’ support with an unforgettable experience to conclude this epic tale.”
Backers managed to unlock four stretch goals in the process. These include a Dredge that’s playable, Ubin as a combat character and new Survival and Eternal Arena modes. As such, this will be the final title in The Banner Saga franchise with players traveling beyond the wall of darkness and determining the lives of their clansmen. The Banner Saga 3 is currently slated to release in December 2018 for PC.
