Nope wrong gameplay over graphics anytime plus console gaming over pc gaming anytime for me. I only play strategy games on pc. So the choice is easily made. Opinions!

Yea, you don't care.

Though funnily enough as soon as there's a Ps4 version of a game that people claim to be superior, you suddenly care A LOT. I'll wager on the rare occasions when the Xbox version is better-- you care a GREAT DEAL.

Sounds about right. I wasn't actually all that tempted into getting any last gen consoles. All the hype for them seemed a bit too much when first release and by that time I was so stuck into PC gaming I never really felt the need. That and I didn't like either of the remotes. Only games I was interested in playing was The Last Of Us and Gears Of War. Both exclusives to 2 different consoles so in the end I decided screw it. The only new PC exclusive I hear of that is coming out is Star Citizen. Which I also heard is the case because the developer hates consoles and doesn't wants it to be a masterpiece. So I heard. Could be wrong.

Yeah resolution I do not tamper with so i'll probably do an upgrade soon as well so that 4k gaming can come into play. On my build I don't think it's really worth dropping all the quality settings just to hit 4k.

By the sounds of things I don't think this generation of consoles is gonna last long at all. Although people go on that 4k is a must have for consoles during the release but during the time of release, there wasn't that many people that actually owned 4k capability tv's or screens. The only thing the consoles should have been capable of was 1080p, 60fps and I would have understood that. 4k practically started reducing cost since last year. Correct me if i'm wrong. I live in Namibia and the exchange is brutal on us.

But I do agree. Consoles shouldn't last that long. 3-4 years minimum. 5 years max!

That's more or less it, because I've been gaming on the PC since the late 90's, it's become second nature now and over time you end up figuring out what graphic settings do what so you know which to play with the most.

I remember years ago that I was tempted to get a PS3 for 1 game, forgot what it was called, but anyway, I remember this voice in the back of my mind saying don't do it I'll regret it, which if I did buy it I would of done, would of only played about 2 games on it through it's life, not worth it, I rather just miss out on those games, no shortage of games on PC with Steam and the games I've got on my wish list, it's hard work getting the time to play them lol.

Yeah resolution is something I don't mess with, always 1080p, but all other settings are there to be messed with, don't get me wrong, not got a problem with consoles but it would be nice if they had a quicker upgrade cycle, 8 years of the last gen was too long and it held games back, I think 3 to 4 years is about right, more then enough improvements done on hardware in that time.

Just wondering, I've got a i7 from around 2011, Sandy Bridge one, can't remember if that was one of the first or early i7 at the time, but yeah it's never failed me yet, planning on a big upgrade late this year with the new microns on the cpu's and gpu's coming out, that and DD4 memory doesn't cost a arm and a leg anymore.

I know what you mean yeah. Would never buy a PC as i'd prefer to put in the hardware that I rather have in and that i'm use to working with. Usually also takes me around the same. Always trying to hit that sweet spot. haha. I bought an xbox one though just for Forza Horizon 2. Nothing against consoles or anything but I do prefer having the option of doing what I want with the game whether it'd be higher res or higher fps. But then again I don't really like tampering with the resolution so i'd rather set some details down that I know are resource hungry.

On another note, i'm still running a first generation core i7 and it hasn't failed me yet.

The only problem with The Order was it was too short. It had it all. Good story, characters and game play. Had both stealth and open combat and an interesting array of weapons and some lose tie-ins to history. The problem here is you're a loser b/c you didnt play this game just read about it.

With me it's a 5 min job, that's setting up kb/m controls and graphics which I usually try to maxed out at 60fps, if the hardware can't handle it maxed out then I lower a setting or two that have little to no visual impact but a decent improvement on frame rates, if that isn't enough then I won't play the game till I upgrade my hardware, I always settle for 60fps and more or less max out the game, don't like playing the game feeling that I'm not playing it out it's meant to be played, if you really max games out to the max then it's a 2 min job.

Even for someone that's never done it before, after a year of doing it, it becomes second nature, same with building a PC which is usually always better than buying.

When games like this start getting a lot different on PC to the consoles, it's better never to see any footage on pc... or else we'll have a hard time settling for the weak console versions.....
