The Last Guardian won big in LA recently, at the recently held DICE awards. The game walked away with an Achievement in Outstanding Character, which makes sense how the relationship between the protagonist and Trico is the focal point and mechanic in the game.
In his thank you speech while he accepted the award, Fumito Ueda, the auteur behind The Last Guardian (as well as Shadow of the Colossus and ICO previously) teased a new project, hinting that he has already started to think about his new game, noting that award wins like this one are inspiring him to keep forging on ahead with his vision for his next game.
What his new game will be, or even what platform it will be for, is currently unknown, especially since Ueda is no longer officially affiliated with Sony Japan- but we can be reasonably sure that whatever it is, it will probably be a masterpiece, and release far later than anyone expects it to.
