The Last Guardian is “Alive and Kicking in Terms of Development” – SCE President

Shuhei Yoshida and company want to "really be confident" before introducing it again.

Despite SCEA CEO Jack Tretton stating that The Last Guardian was on hiatus and Worldwide Studios at Sony Computer Entertainment president Shuhei Yoshida stating technical difficulties for its delay, The Last Guardian is still “alive and kicking in terms of development.”

Speaking to CVG, Yoshida stated that, “If you visit Japan Studio there are lots of people working on it. But as [designer Fumito Ueda] shared with people a couple of months ago, we really want to be confident next time when we introduce The Last Guardian to the public, so we are waiting for that time to come.”

Debuting at E3 2009, the only details about The Last Guardian we’re aware of are its development team having worked on ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, and its strange creature. Since then, creative lead Fumito Ueda left the company (but stayed on in an advisory role) and the game has been delayed endlessly.
