The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is promising to be one of the biggest releases in a year that’s going to be packed full of them, and you’d expect its launch to go with plenty of fanfare on Nintendo’s end. And sure enough, a new leak seems to indicate that as well.
Leaked images were recently posted on Chinese forum Tieba and then shared on Famiboards, showing a limited edition Nintendo Switch OLED model themed after the highly-anticipated open world action-adventure title, with gold artwork and Triforce symbols embossed on the Joycons and the console’s dock.
Of course, Nintendo has yet to officially announce this, so there’s no guaranteeing the leak’s veracity (especially with Nintendo involved), but if true, this would be far from surprising. Nintendo routinely pairs releases of major new games with themed limited edition hardware launches, and you’d expect that to be the case with the upcoming Zelda title as well.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is set to launch for the Nintendo Switch on May 12. Ahead of its launch, it has been rated by the ESRB and in South Korea.
