Today’s announcement that The Order: 1886 developer Ready at Dawn will be making games for all systems now may have left you wondering just what the extent of The Order’s failure may have been- what else would explain the developer parting ways with PlayStation, with whom they have enjoyed such a good relationship for the better part of a decade now?
Well, Ready at Dawn’s newly appointed CEO Paul Sams is here to rain on this parade. While he won’t provide us with specific numbers, he is pretty insistent in asserting that The Order: 1886 has in fact been a success.
“While we would love to share with you how well The Order: 1886 has performed since it release, those are numbers that only Sony can divulge,” he said in a new interview with Game Informer. “Suffice it to say, we are very proud of that game, and we are well on our way to achieving the sales performance that we sought.”
Of course, that can also be read as a roundabout way of saying it hasn’t actually sold what they wanted it to sell yet, but they are hoping that if it continues down this trajectory, it might hit those numbers sooner or later.
Ready at Dawn have currently announced that they are working on two new IPs, and that they are working with the PS4, the Xbox One, the PC, and new, unannounced platform that may just be the NX. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
