The Persona 5 Director Has A Message For Fans

'Sorry I could not show more.'

Persona 5 was announced yesterday at Sony’s conference as coming to not just the PS3, but also to the PS4, and if you are anything like me, your entire PS4 purchase was justified by just that one announcement, and you are now eagerly counting down days to the game’s release. You are also probably waiting for more Persona news, because there is only so much that you repeat watching that same Persona 5 debut trailer over and over again.

Well, we have some news, and it comes courtesy of Persona 5 Director Katsura Hashino, who has another message for fans. Siliconera reports that Hashino is apologetic for showing only so little of the game, as well as for the delay (the game was originally due to launch this year in Japan; now it’s been pushed into a more vague ‘2015’ release).

“I apologize for only being able to show so little, but it would make me happy to know that you all have been able to get a glimpse of the game’s atmosphere.

“Persona 5 was announced last year, and in addition to the release for PlayStation 3, we’re currently developing a PlayStation 4 version to release simultaneously in 2015. Furthermore, it’s very regretful that we’ll keep you guys waiting (I’m sorry ; ;), but I believe we’ll have a great game that will remain in your hearts.”

You know what, take your time. Really, I mean it. Persona 4 is my favorite game ever. I would really like for Persona 5 to live up to that.
