The Wonderful 101 Focuses on Fun Over Length

Director Hideki Kamiya hopes "you enjoy it like that".

Hideki Kamiya recently took to Twitter to clarify a couple of things about The Wonderful 101, Platinum Games’ upcoming “mass hero” game for the Wii U wherein you use several dozens of heroes together to fight off enemies.

Kamiya, who is directing the game, clarified that the game will focus more on fun than a bloated play length.

Which is pretty much as cryptic as one can get.

To be fair, Platinum has never been about long play experiences, preferring to pack the game into as tight and nuanced a package as possible. Bayonetta, Vanquish and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance come to mind as examples.

The Wonderful 101 will be released this year at a to-be-announced date and published by Nintendo.
