TINY METAL PS4 Pro Version Runs At 4K/60fps, Switch At 1080p/30fps When Docked

The Advance Wars we deserve, but not the one we need.

AREA 35’s new turn based strategy is taking the chance to make their own Advance Wars since Nintendo won’t, and TINY METAL can be played right now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for a pretty reasonable $25. While the title isn’t the most visually outstanding game, opting for a very specific art style, a new interview with Wccftech reveals that they aren’t hiding behind the art.

PC of course is built for a wide range of machines, resolutions and framerates, but should you be enjoying the game on a PlayStation 4 Pro, you’ll get an amazingly clear, native 4K experience at a solid 60 FPS. Should you try your hand at the game on the Nintendo Switch in the hopes you can blur your eyes and pretend Intelligent Systems just released a new Advance Wars, you’ll find that the team did an admirable job optimizing for the platform, with native resolution of 720p and 1080p while undocked and docked respectively, while both modes target 30FPS.

While the game is receiving little attention yet, the few reviews to be found on Metacritic seem to suggest a rough 80 so far. Will you be checking out TINY METAL? Let us know below.
