EA’s CFO Blake Jorgensen finally spoke about Respawn Entertainment’s next Titanfall game. While not specifically acknowledged as Titanfall 2 – or for that matter, officially announced – Jorgensen did reveal at the 2015 Technology, Internet & Media Conference that it would probably be arriving on more than just one platform.
“Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven’t yet announced, but we’ll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that’s a huge positive for us.”
Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall released in March 2014 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Studio founder Vince Zampella later revealed that future games in the franchise would arrive on other consoles though the first game would remain exclusive to the Xbox.
While Titanfall’s popularity has fallen in the past year, it did boast 8 million unique players this past December. Will the next Titanfall beat that if it releases on PlayStation as well as Xbox? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
