Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Phantoms Is Now One Year Old

Celebrate with a new game mode.

The PC exclusive free to play tactical shooter from Ubisoft, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Phantoms, is now one year old, Ubisoft announced today. To commemorate the occasion, Ubisoft announced a month long anniversary celebration of the title.

This all begins with the release of a brand new game mode for the game- Team Deathmatch. Yes, shockingly, the game has so far gone without having a Team Deathmatch mode (Team Deathmatch is routinely the most popular game mode in other shooters), but now it will be made available to all players for free. All maps will eventually be compatible with Team Deathmatch, though Ubisoft confirmed only two will be initially available, with more being added via rolling updates.

Starting today, Ghost Recon Phantoms will celebrate its first birthday with three weeks of events, complete with bonus XP/AC week, Steam sales, community events with prizes sponsored by Mionix and more. On April 10th, all players are invited to complete the 1-day only Birthday event to score the exclusive birthday avatar. So if you are at all into the game? Don’t miss out on your chance to join in on the festivities.
