Total War: Rome 2, developed by Creative Assembly and a sequel to the successful war-based strategy games of the same name, has revealed a new faction with this latest screenshot: The Arverni Oathsworn.
Described on the new Total War wiki as descending “from a long line of Celts, the warlike Arverni are one of the most powerful tribes of central Gaul.”. They’re stronger in numbers than the barabarian looters and raiders with their own culture and stronghold.
Their main strength seems to be cavalry along with a “charisma and fighting prowess of their kings and chieftains” that also net them a nice diplomacy bonus.
Their moto? “Belief, dignity, power”.
Releasing in October for PC, Total War: Rome 2 will change things up a bit by allowing for multiple capture points when it comes to seizing cities. There are also several combat balances, improved diplomacy and a new AI for fans to cut their teeth against.
