Total War: Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires Exits Beta, No Longer Requires Players to Own Previous Games

Total War: Warhamemr 3's Immortal Empires mode is now easier than ever to play, no longer needing you to own the previous two games.

Having spent half year as a beta, the Immortal Empires mode for Total War: Warhammer 3 has been officially launched, alongside a new launch trailer. Alongside the official launch of the new game mode, developer Creative Assembly has also announced a few important changes to Immortal Empires.

Unlike previous iterations of the mode, including the beta and Mortal Empires from Total War: Warhammer 2, Immortal Empires will now be available to everyone that owns a copy of Total War: Warhammer 3. This means that players don’t have to buy Total War: Warhammer or Warhammer 2 just to access the mode.

However, if players want to play with a faction that isn’t available in Total War: Warhammer 3, they will have to buy the appropriate DLC. For example, fans of the Greenskins will get access to the race if they own The Warden and the Paunch DLC, or Total War: Warhammer, depending on the Legendary Lord they want to play.

The change, while seemingly simple, does a lot to bring choice to players. The fact that players don’t have to buy two extra games just to play Total War: Warhammer 3‘s Immortal Empires means that the barrier to entry is much lower than it previously was.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is available on PC.
