Total War: Warhammer First Gameplay Footage Released

Sega shows off their engine of war.

We’ve known about Total War: Warhammer for a good while now, but today was the very first time that we got to see it in action- the first gameplay footage for The Creative Assembly’s next strategy epic was just released, and I have to say, the game looks mighty impressive. The footage focuses specifically on the game’s “Legendary Lords” characters. Each Legendary Lord has unique abilities, weapons, armor, mounts, and their very own questlines.

If you like what you see here, it will make you even happier to know that Sega will be releasing an extended form of this video, overlain with developer’s commentary, on July 30. That should be enough to keep your appetites going for a while.

Total War: Warhammer will be releasing at some point in the future on the PC. It is only one portion of a full fledged Warhammer video games renaissance being led by Sega- other games include two future sequels to Total War: Warhammer, a rumored Dawn of War III by Relic, and a brand new action RPG set in the universe, called Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor Martyr.
