The Creative Assembly announced its next iteration in the Total War Saga recently with Troy. Releasing in 2020, the strategy title will cover the Trojan War as Greece and Troy battle over Helen. Those curious about the gameplay can check out the recent preview video from PCGamesN, which showcases some of the map.
It also teases a conflict between Hector and the legendary Achilles. All the Total War similarities are there though as players control terrain, build up their city, manage the economy and ultimately go to war. Troy: A Total War Saga will cover both sides so you can experience the breadth of the conflict.
The Creative Assembly is also looking to mix some mythology in with the history. Centaurs act as cavalry men (whom you’ll need to construct certain buildings to recruit) and there are even hero-like characters such as the Minotaur. Stay tuned for more details en route to the game’s release for PC.
