UK Game Charts: FIFA 14 Closes 2013 at Top Spot

Call of Duty: Ghosts comes in at second place.

The UKIE sales charts for the final week of 2013 in the UK are finally here, courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track, and it seems that EA’s FIFA 14 has taken the top spot to close out the year. Call of Duty: Ghosts came in at second, with final sales numbers falling way behind that of Black Ops II.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is at third place with Battlefield 4 – which surprisingly didn’t cross 1 million units sold in the UK – at fourth place. Grand Theft Auto V, the top selling title of 2013 in the UK, is at fifth place with Need for Speed: Rivals at sixth place. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, Just Dance 2014, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and Gran Turismo 6 round out the rest of the list.

This marks the fifth week in a row that FIFA 14 has been at the number one spot in the UK. What are your thoughts on the success of the game and other titles closing out 2013 in the charts? Let us know in the comments.
