UK Game Charts: Overwatch Regains Number 1 Spot

WoW's Legion debuts strong.

Blizzard Entertainment had the number one selling among all platforms in the UK this past week but it wasn’t the recently released World of Warcraft: Legion expansion. No, instead Overwatch – it’s team based hero shooter – reclaimed the top spot following a price drop according to Gfk Chart-Track.

This makes it the fourth week at number one for the shooter. Second place was reserved for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, whose sales dropped by 72 percent, with Legion at third place. The new expansion actually saw fewer boxed sales than Warlords of Draenor (Chart-Track doesn’t keep tabs on digital sales) but it was still the biggest new release this week. F1 2016 is in fourth place ahead of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Despite an increase in sales, Grand Theft Auto 5 is in sixth place while No Man’s Sky sales dropped by 36 percent to put it in seventh place. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is still going strong at eighth while Rocket League is in ninth places and Madden NFL 17 is in tenth. Other new releases include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition is 17th place.
