Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Fallout franchise, head of indie publisher New Blood Interactive—Dave Oshry—has released a small clip from an upcoming game that seems quite heavily inspired by the classic Fallout games. Check out the clip below.
While the 30-second clip doesn’t show off too much, it does show that the unnamed RPG will feature an interface quite similar to that of Fallout and Fallout 2, and its aesthetics also seem to borrow quite a bit from the art deco movement.
The clip also shows off one major change from the Fallout games. While staying turn based, New Blood’s RPG will feature combat from a first-person perspective, similar to classic dungeon crawling games.
Oshry has also revealed that the game’s art is being handled by Alexander Berezin, its music is being composed by Mark Morgan, and the game isn’t set to release for a while.
New Blood is known for its work in publishing indie games that evoke classic PC gaming. The publisher is currently enjoying the success of recent releases like Gloomwood and Ultrakill.
