Undertale for Switch Launches This September

You feel like you're going to have a bad time.

That the ever-popular RPG Undertale will be coming to the Nintendo Switch is something we have known for few months now. A more specific release date, however, has not been known- we’ve known it will launch in Japan on September 15, but we’ve received nothing in the way of an announcement for the rest of the world.

Speaking on Twitter, developer Toby Fox announced that Undertale on the Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide this September- a version of the game will be available digitally on the Nintendo eShop, of course, but you can also pre-order a physical copy of the game via Fangamer.

Undertale was allegedly based on Earthbound and the Mother series, so it’s a homecoming for the game to launch on a Nintendo platform in a sense- previously, the game has been available for PC, Mac, PS4, and PS Vita. A Nintendo release had been held up due to Game Maker, the engine it was made in, lacking support for Nintendo systems (until recently).
