Valorant is Getting Team Deathmatch Mode with 3 New Maps on June 27

The mode will see two teams of five duking it out against each other to be the first to get to a hundred kills, with each match split into four stages.

In an upcoming update, numbered at patch 7.0, Valorant is getting new game mode that allows “you and your teammates to go up against an enemy team in one of three maps”. The new 5v5 mode is essentially a team deathmatch mode, and was announced with a trailer that you can check out below.

For team deathmatch, Valorant will be getting three new maps. Players will respawn 1.5 seconds after dying, and the game mode will involve two teams duking it out until one of them can get to 100 kills. According to Riot, the length of team deathmatch matches will be 9 minutes and 30 seconds, split across four stages. If no team has got to a hundred kills when time runs out, the team in lead will win the match.

Players will be able to pick out their loadout of choice at the beginning of the match, and at the start of each of the four stages of a typical team deathmatch mode match. Players can also change their loadouts while they’re in the Spawn room. Loadouts will also get upgraded as a match goes on into later stages.

The three maps made especially for Valorant‘s team deathmatch mode are titled Piazza, District, and Kasbah. You can check out short trailers showcasing each map below.
