Riot Games’ Valorant has been out for several weeks but while many have hopped on-board with the free to play shooter, plenty have been waiting for the launch of its Ranked mode. Known as “Rated” mode, it was added with the recent patch 1.02 (which also added a “surrender” option) but not made live. That’s recently changed according to the developer.
The mode is now live for all regions, from Korea and Asia-Pacific to North America, Brazil, Turkey and Russia. You’ll need to complete some placement matches first, at which point a rank will be given. Rated Mode has seen some changes since the game’s closed beta, including the top rank now being called “Radiant” instead of “Valorant”.
Icons for the various ranks have also been updated and look more appealing than before. More changes will likely be rolled out as time goes on so stay tuned for any updates. For more details on Valorant, check out our official review here.
