Documentary on DOTA 2 is now online.

Valve’s ‘Free to Play’, a documentary that follows the lives of three competitive DOTA 2 players, is now available over Steam and Twitch, with a future release announced for Youtube and iTunes as well.

Free to Play looks at three competitive players of DOTA 2 from three different continents, and looks at the ins and outs of the lives of competitive gamers, as well as the sacrifices that they have to make to get to where they are. It looks at all three of them as they gear up to compete for a hefty $1 million- the very first time such a substantial amount has been awarded in the history of gaming. The movie was pre-loaded by over 600,000 gamers worldwide so they could watch it the minute it went live; public screenings are also being held tonight to celebrate the launch, including at the Crest Theater tonight in Los Angeles, CA, in association with Twitch.
