Warcraft: Remastered and Warcraft 2: Remastered Announced, Out Now on PC

Both remasters are available for $9.99 on Battle.net and include wide-screen support, updated artwork, and quality-of-life features.

After Warcraft 2: Remastered was seemingly datamined, Blizzard confirmed its existence alongside a remaster of the original for PC during the franchise’s 30th Anniversary Direct. Furthermore, you can buy both now on Battle.net for $9.99 each. If that wasn’t enough, a Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest with both titles and Warcraft 3: Reforged is available for $39.99. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Both remasters feature visual updates (including updated hand-painted art to switch to at any time), widescreen support, and uncompressed versions of their soundtracks. Health bars, indicators for hotkeys and the ability to select more units have also been added to the controls. However, they also have some unique qualities, like Warcraft: Remastered featuring brand new concept art alongside its classic pieces.

Warcraft 2: Remastered features the expansion, Beyond the Dark Portal, and support for up to eight-player co-op in multiplayer maps. You can also join custom lobbies or host your own, though Battle.net is required to play online.
