Listen to what Michael Pachter says (Actually don’t he’s wrong all the time when it comes to Nintendo), he’s always saying the 3DS wont survive in a market with iphones and android devices despite it doing incredibly well.

I don’t think the author meant that as his actual opinion. more that there are still many people who claim it is doing badly and ignore the actual sales numbers.

The 3ds is not considered a failure. It has met all its goals so far and surpassed them selling more than the DS in the same time span.
