Dead Cells creators Motion Twin announced 3D action roguelike Windblown at The Game Awards last December and instantly caught the eye of a fair few people, and the studio has now offered another look at the game with a new trailer at the recent PC Gaming Show, while also confirming an early access release window.
Windblown will be in familiar territory for Motion Twin, being a roguelike, but it is, of course, also carving out its own identity as a fully 3D experience. Its gameplay will also put emphasis on speed and agility, thanks in large part to all playable characters being equipped with back-mounted thrusters that let you dash about the battlefield. Players can also switch weapons in the middle of a run, while the game also features support for both solo and co-op gameplay for up to three players. Watch the trailer below for another look at how it’s shaping up.
Windblown is scheduled to launch for PC in early access at some point later this year.
