Kotaku‘s sources have told them that the Xbox 720 controller is covered in stripes, and it’s sort of a camouflage to not get the thing leaked.
This is interesting because Microsoft’s next gen console is supposed to have a mandatory Kinect sensor as well and the specs were already leaked before.
It’s not clear how this will prevent leaks but it’s said that in the event some one posts a photograph of it, it could be probably identified by Microsoft.
They say that the controller currently looks like a Zebra. “What is a surprise is that all of that gear is covered in criss-crossing, radiating black and white stripes,” the site’s EIC Stephen Totilo wrote.
The controller is said to be similar to the Xbox 360 one but a little smaller in size. It also does not contain any fancy LCDs or touchpads. I think this is a good thing because what makes the Xbox 360 so good is its controller. You can read the rest of the stuff on their site.
