Xbox Live just became more accessible to Indie Games Developers

Microsoft has relaxed some rules concerning game submissions from Indie games developers, and surely, someone is pleased out there right now. It’s not an incremental improvement, but a major one.

If you are an Indie developer, you can now submit 20 games for approval.

The game sizes have been increased as well, with 500MB allotment, which is a huge jump from 150MB. If the game is just for 80MSP, then the file size limit has been relaxed and you can submit games up to 150MB in size, compared to 50MB earlier.

Indie developers were mostly discontent with Xbox Live due to limited visibility in the Xbox 360 dashboard and other things, but these changes should ensure that most of them are happy. It’s a good positive step from Microsoft.
