It's quite obvious that none of these people have researched the illumiroom. No clue when that'll come out, but it is simply going to change the gaming industry. Hence why i posted "Just because the 32MB of ESRAM is sitting on 47MB of on-die RAM doesn't mean that it's 47MB ESRAM" shown by the breakdown of the 47MB Die.

which is also backed up by ( Crytek’s CEO ) when he explained the following...

"We put our most accessed render targets like the G-Buffer targets into ESRAM. Writing to ESRAM yields a considerable speed-up. While (((( 32MB )))) may not be enough to use something like MSAA to the fullest, with a smart memory management strategy it is possible to deal with that"

So not only do we have the breakdown showing 32MB eSRAM, we also have Crytek's CEO using the 32MB of eSRAM? But then we have the following information to back up what I posted.

Even Microsoft technical fellow Andrew Goosen stated in articles...

"The Xbox One uses 8GB of DDR3 RAM at 2133 MHz for 68.3 GB/s of bandwidth, but also adds an extra 32 MB of ESRAM for 102 GB/s of embedded memory bandwidth"

So yes Xbone has 32MB of eSRAM not 47MB of eSRAM.

Does he now? Is that a fact too?

Btw the quote below is from Chris Roberts and not from me.

“I’m a big Killzone fan but just technically if I look at Ryse and I look at Killzone, Ryse is superior.”

And remember that GOW3 cut scenes looking better than those of Ryse is an opinion too, mate.

Until a MS employee comes out with the details in regards to the eSRAM (as they did on the hotchip conference) it’s all assumptions based on rumors, "leaks” and apparently current GPU & APU architecture, but there is no 8 core jaguar APU/SoC on the market...except the ones inside the x1 and ps4.

You know with all those developers and insiders saying how the x1 dev tools are horrible and how the ps4 is a lot easier to develop for and this

The PS4′s GPU has 8 Asynchronous Compute Engines with a totaling of 64 queues. Now the Xbone has only 2 Asynchronous Compute Engines with only 16 queues, and that's without PS4 having more ROPS than Xbone ( 32 vs 16 ) let alone PS4 using 72 Texture Units while the Xbone only has 48 Texture Units. Hence why PS4 has the more powerful hardware out the two.

Well I would have expected much more than what the multiplats are showing… or the exclusives for that matter.

Btw the ps4 gpu you describe has the same architecture
as the amd volcanic islands series of GPUs, but that is according to leaked documents and not Sony themselves.

Chris Roberts game ( The upcoming crowd-funded space sim ) is in fact built off of Crytek’s fourth generation CryEngine ( the same engine Ryse used ) So yes he has every reason to praise it due to him using that engine himself for his new games. But remember it's only an opinion from people that Ryse could be the better looking game than other gen games like i pointed out.

If people believe that Ryse is better graphically than other games that's cool, as it's their opinion.

"technically if I look at Ryse and I look at Killzone, Ryse is superior" And that's your opinion. cool.

Now as for Microsoft stating that Xbone uses 32MB ESRAM ( which has been confirmed by the four 8MB cache blocks ( 4 x 8 = 32MB ) on the break downs as well as developers themselves stating that amount IMO holds more weight than sites and their what ifs☺

Just because the 32MB of ESRAM is sitting on 47MB of on-die RAM doesn't mean that it's 47MB ESRAM.

http://www.redgamingtech.com/xbox-one-die-shots-revealed-apu-info-comparison-against-ps4/

The link above shows the break down of the 47MB APU.

"In computer graphics, ray tracing is a technique for generating an image by tracing the path of light through pixels in an image plane and simulating the effects of its encounters with virtual objects"... Anyone can look it up and get the drift of it.

In easy terms the GPU in PS4 allows for more objects, pixels, images, also allowing higher resolutions, when compared to Xbones GPU. ( This is already starting to show in multiplatform games )

I still remember this...

"one developer said that "without optimization for either console, a platform-agnostic development build CAN run at around 30 FPS in 1920x1080 on PS4, but it'll run at '20-something' FPS in 1600x900 on Xbox One." A developer concluded simply that the Xbox One is "weaker." ( Shown to be correct )

I also remember this...

"developers did say in some ways the Xbox One COULD be faster than the PS4. "Let's say you are using procedural generation or raytracing via parametric surfaces - that is, using a lot of memory writes and not much texturing or ALU - Xbox One will likely be faster." ( Unknown as yet )

What we do know 100% is that PS4 is the more powerful console out the two

Did you know that Chris doesn’t own Crytek and has nothing to gain by praising a game made by the CE nor is he developing a game for either console? Did you know that he’s not the only developer praising the game visuals even tough not everyone is making their games with
the CE?

Btw

“I’m a big Killzone fan but just technically if I look at Ryse and I look at Killzone, Ryse is superior.” And here I was expecting him to say how Ryse is inferior to GOW3 /s

Fact? Like the fact that Marius has 85k polys or that there are 500 deforming joints in his body and that there are 260 deforming joints in his face alone? How about the fact, that
it has physically based lighting, shades and sub-surfaces lighting? How about the skin textures and no lod? How about the fact the GOW3 is running 720p upscaled to
1080p? And so on and so forth.

The fact is that Ryse is to GoW3 what GoW3 is to the original GoW.

People have broken down what now?

The 32MB of eSRAM and its “configuration” was unveiled by MS at the hotchip conference back in August.

http://semiaccurate.com/assets/uploads/2013/08/XBox_One_SoC_diagram.jpg

People have speculated as to what the other 15MB (chipworks says it’s 47MB of eSRAM - different sites different opinions) are and where could they be located, but they only allocated 5MB and the rest? No one has an idea where the rest is [al]located.

Tell me about ray/path tracing and how the ps4 gpu has the advantage.

Chris Roberts would say that as he is also using Crytek’s fourth generation CryEngine☺ It's an opinion of his and that's all there is too it. ( like mine was ) until the facts came into it showing GOW3 running better with less frame-drops last gen.

People have broken down the 47MB of on-die RAM and the fact is that Xbone has four 8MB cache blocks ( 4 x 8 = 32MB ) so the Xbone uses 32MB ESRAM.

The PS4 does have 50% more shader cores than the Xbone which is why PS4 will always have the edge when it comes to raw graphics power.

Different sites, different assumptions.

http://www.itproportal.com/2013/11/27/an-in-depth-look-at-the-xbox-ones-innards-sram-is-the-reason-for-the-small-gpu/

"It’s hard to tell exactly how the Xbox One’s 47MB of claimed SRAM fit into the floor plan, however.”

Xbone doesn’t really have a 32MB contiguous cache either, but four 8MB cache blocks instead.

And that means what exactly?

The most intriguing part is where no one seems to find 10MB of the...well of the "47MB of claimed SRAM"☺

The ps4 gpu having more raw power and as various “insiders” were (are?) saying how its 50% easier/faster to develop for the ps4 and how the x1 tools are so horrible and yet

http://gamingbolt.com/the-order-1886-will-run-at-30fps-and-1080p-on-the-ps4

Btw that comment about Ryse looking worse than GoW3 (on occasions).
