Kinect? Yea I have one, it sits on top of my ps4 so that it may express it’s dominance over the Sony logo. I’d take a picture but I’m too lazy to walk the 7 feet between the couch and the TV. Samsung TV though because Sony stopped making LCD panels years ago on account of them being out of money and all.

Halo 5 sales have been underwhelming, having only sold just under a million retail copies during its launch week. That number would seem great for any other game franchise, but compared to the U.S. launch sales of Halo 2,3, Reach, and 4 (3+ million copies for each entry), Halo 5’s sales have not been good. This is reflected in the Xbox One’s October hardware sales, which only managed to hit ~305,000 units this October. By comparison, Halo 3 pushed over 520,000 Xbox 360s in September 2007, and Halo Reach pushed over 485,000 Xbox 360s in September 2010. Even TitanFall managed to push over 310,000 Xbox Ones in March 2014, and that game was a new IP released when the Xbox One was somewhat struggling due to its $500 price tag with Kinect.

PS4 sales aren’t doing good either. PS4 hardware sales only reached ~285,000 this October, which is actually less than what the PS4 sold in October 2014. The console is now $50 cheaper and was released alongside the Uncharted Collection, so sales being down YoY is a shocker.

Nintendo did …okay. Wii U sales are now up 20% YoY so far this year, due to the newfound momentum from Mario Maker and Yoshi. Woolly World actually managed to outsell The Nathan Drake Collection, despite being a far less well known IP on a far less successful platform. 3DS sales are okay, but the lack of a new game as big as Smash Bros. hurt the platform’s hardware and software sales this year compared to last year.
