Xbox One Outsells PS4 for Fourth Straight Month in US

Top-selling console in US, UK and Australia for October.

The Xbox One continues its string of success over the PS4. As per data from the NPD Group and Gfk Entertainment, the Xbox One was the best-selling console for October in the US, UK and Australia, making this the fourth straight month that Microsoft’s console has emerged on top.

The streak began in July before the release of the Xbox One S, though it’s only been the best-selling console in the UK and Australia for the past two months.

Along with the release of Gears of War 4, the top-selling platform exclusive in October for US and UK, Forza Horizon 3 has been a strong factor in the console’s success. It’s the best-selling racing game this year though there’s not much competition given how Gran Turismo Sport was delayed into 2017.

Regardless, even with the release of PlayStation VR and PS4 Slim, the Xbox One is managing to hold its own. What are your thoughts on Microsoft’s continued success? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates.
