I agree that it may not appear be as healthy of a market from a competition standpoint, but we’re only a little over 2 years into this generation so I don’t see it as frightening at all. It took the XBox 360 4 years to hit 20 million in sales, didn’t it? ’05-’09. And I think PS3 took 5 years, ’06-’11. Both consoles are way ahead of that even if it’s a bit lopsided in Sony’s favour.
That may not last, and even if it does competition is still good. People talk about iPhones and Android phones as competitors when iPhone only has like 14% of the market to Androids 80-something%. Xbox One to PS4 is much closer and both very competitive.
