The rumors were right- Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox One X will cost $499 when it launches in November this year. This was the price that Geoff Keighley had leaked earlier this morning, and it seems like he was right on the money.
As the analysts at IHS had said (and as I myself had surmised), this system will not have much market impact at $499. It’s not something that can happen if the system is prohibitively expensive, which the Xbox One X is. It’s a fair price- the technology in it demands it. But the customer will not spend $500 on an Xbox One X, when they can get a PS4 or an Xbox One S for a far cheaper price.
That said, do you think that the system can actually make much headway at this price? Let us know in the comments section below, and stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information from E3 2017.
