XCOM 2 Patch Improves Texture Streaming, Removes MSAA 8x From Default Max Settings

Improvements to XCOM 2's performance inbound.

A new patch for Firaxis’s XCOM 2 has sought to fix some glitches and improve performance of the PC exclusive as a whole.

Some of these fixes include a progress bug that left players unable to advance and scan in Geoscape once the Resistance Communications research was complete in the tutorial and being unable to load saves with Chryssalid Cocoon. The patch also makes adjustments to texture streaming to help with frame rate spikes and removes MSAA 8x from the default Max settings for visuals.

In a community report, Firaxis stated that, “It is important to the team that we address the issues below as soon as possible so fans can get back to enjoying the game. Stay tuned for more information on future updates.”
