Sega took the stage at Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show Lineup Event to unveil its newest IP, which they have teased recently as well. Developed by the studio behind Yakuza, it’s called Judge Eyes. This is a working title, and the game itself was referred to as Project Judge by the development team. Regardless, check out the trailer below. It’s certainly an interesting take on the world of crime, incorporating aspects of investigation and the judiciary.
Though the Yakuza series has its share of serious overtones, the game can be pretty goofy in a number of ways. That doesn’t seem to be the case with Judge Eyes, which delves into criminal proceedings. We’re most interested to see how the combat pans out, especially given the developer’s prowess in that area.
More information is yet to be revealed, but Sega confirmed that a demo for Judge Eyes would launch later today. The game itself is out on December 13th for Japan, while players in the West have to wait until 2019.
