In an interview with reputed Japanese games publication Famitsu, PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that Sony Worldwide Studios have unannounced games in development for the PS4 in 2016. He stated that they have Guerrilla Game’s Horizon Zero Dawn, Gravity Daze 2 and The Last Guardian but there are more games to come in 2016 which would make the year “amazing” for PS4 fans.
He also revealed that the PlayStation VR headset will run at 90Hz frames per second but confirmed that they pushed for 120Hz. According to him 120 fps was a challenge but eventually they settled down for 90hz. Furthermore he also confirmed that Gravity Daze 2 will run at 60 frames per second on the PS4. You can read the full interview here but remember, it’s in Japanese.
Sony already has a strong line up for 2016 including the likes of The Last Guardian, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Horizon: Zero Dawn. So possibly, Yoshida is talking about the new IP from Sony Bend, Gran Turismo 7 and Quantic Dream’s new game. Obviously this is an assumption on our part but the respective developers are confirmed to be working on new games. In the past, PlayStation India boss Atindriya Bose had hinted in an interview with GamingBolt that they have bigger and better games in 2016 for the PS4. Looks like this is our first official confirmation regarding the same.
