Zynga bid $2 billion for Angry Birds, Rovio turned them down

Oh shit, it seems like Zynga wanted to expand their empire even more by offering $2 billion to Rovio for their lucrative IP, Angry Birds, according to few inside sources of Bloomberg.

They denied, obviously. Who wouldn’t? Angry Birds is a prestigious IP and is the most downloaded game worldwide with over 500 million in downloads.

Zynga has a lot of money and no debt, kinda like Nintendo. So they offer to buy developers like OMGpop, the creators of the popular Draw Something. Plenty of young developers are seeking to hit it big on the App Store and hope companies like Zynga and Facebook offer them a lot of money for it.

Facebook recently bought Instagram for $1 billion, and such an acquisition for a photo editing program is incredible. There are a lot of opportunities for developers to become millionaires instantly and hit it big.
