A Plague Tale: Innocence Has Sold Over A Million Copies

The game was a commercial success.

While there’s always going to be a certain thirst for the big budget blockbusters, one of the things this generation of consoles has seen is the rise of midbudget titles that have managed to find a good niche for themselves. One of those games was last year’s A Plague Tale: Innocence. The game took place in a plague-ridden French at the height of the Black Death and followed two siblings as they flee mysterious forces. It seems that it’s been a success as well.

Via the official Twitter account, it was confirmed the game had now surpassed a million copies. It’s not too big of a surprise since in October of last year it was confirmed that publisher Focus Home Interactive considered it to be commercial success, but this is the first number we’ve seen put to it.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. There are also rumors that a sequel to the game is in development and that could be revealed at some point this year.
