It felt like Alan Wake was going to be lost to time forever at one point, as the cult classic title from Remedy games never got a sequel. While there is still no sequel, at least not yet, a long-awaited remaster of the action horror title did end up finally happening. It launched earlier this week, and while there is some issues with few artistic choices, the reception seems to be solid. We were fans. The game came to almost every platform with a notable exception of the Switch, but more and more signs point to it coming to Nintendo’s system at some point.
Shortly before the game’s release, a rating for it on the Switch popped up in Brazil. This prompted many to hope for last minute announcement, possibly at the most recent Nintendo Direct, but it was not to be. But it looks at if it’s not just Brazil, as a rating for that version also appeared on PEGI, which you can see through here (thanks to NintendoPal for spotting that). As of now, there is no official word on a Switch port, so when it will come is anyone’s guess, but all signs point to Mr. Wake finding his way there at some point.
Alan Wake Remastered is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
