Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Showcases Its Devastating Endgame Specialist Class in New Gameplay

The Specialist might look like a jack of all trades, but you can be damn sure they're a master of them all when it counts.

Remember that custom class we mentioned when talking about Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2’s prologue showcase? Well, IGN First has now showcased an exclusive peek into the same. It’s called the Specialist, and it’s an endgame option that lets you mix and match between all other available classes, with your progress unlocking each of their abilities being the only obstacle towards a build that even the Xenomorphs can’t defeat.

The Specialist is a versatile addition to any team, and we’re sure that the more determined ones among you are going to come up with builds that absolutely shred everything in the vicinity. You’ll need the patience to unlock it, though, as the requirements are quite stringent. But when you consider the reward of a class that brings the best of your teammates’ skills to the table, the work you put in does seem worth it.

Just be careful not to use those abilities against your own comrades by accident if you’re tackling the game’s greater difficulties, since friendly fire is a thing in this one, and is looking like quite an easy mistake to make thanks to the Xenomorphs’ supreme agility.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches this Summer for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and marks the debut of four-player co-op. You can check out what we thought about its predecessor here.
