Anthem may have been a crippling disappointment in almost every aspect, but it seems like sheer momentum and hype managed to get it to do well. According to Sony, Anthem was the top game on the PSN charts in February for the PS4.
It beat out Jump Force, which came in second place; sadly, it seems like Metro Exodus simply did not chart. Meanwhile, interestingly enough, we see Grand Theft Auto 5, now almost six years old, chart substantially higher than Red Dead Redemption 2, which launched only late last year. On the other hand, in terms of the January releases, Kingdom Hearts 3 continues to chart highly, while Resident Evil 2 is nowhere to be found.
Over on the free-to-play side of things, Apex Legends has displaced Fortnite, which finds itself in third place, behind it and Realms Royale. I suppose Epic should be happy for now that Apex Legends hasn’t made its way to the Switch, where they can at least still enjoy the top spot in peace.
