Apex Legends Crosses 25 Million Players Since Launch

Respawn CEO also confirms a new concurrent player peak over the weekend.

Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends continues to achieve unprecedented heights. In a new blog post, CEO Vince Zampella confirmed that the player count for the game had passed 25 million players since launch. There have also been “well over 2 million concurrent players” at the game’s peak over the weekend.

“Since we launched Apex Legends last week on Monday we’ve seen the creation of an Apex Legends community that is excited, thriving, and full of great feedback and ideas. Our goal is to build this game with you, our community, so keep giving us your feedback because we really are listening,” said Zampella.

Keep in mind that Apex Legends hit 10 million players and 1 million concurrent players at its peak just few days ago. Respawn Entertainment released the game’s first server-side update recently, which helped address various stability issues. There’s even more to come in the subsequent months though, with Season 1 going live in March.

New characters will also be added in due time, and EA seems to be looking into cross-play for the game as well. For our thoughts on Apex Legends, you can check out our official review here.
