Respawn Entertainment has a new collection event for Apex Legends going live on March 3rd and ends on March 17th. The System Override Event will feature a new limited time mode “Deja Loot” where items are located in the same places each match, and the new Evo Shield. The Evo Shield is upgraded every time the player scores a kill, and can be used to obtain a Red Shield with five bars.
World’s Edge will be the default map for the first week with King’s Canyon returning in the second week. A new Event Prize Track with two Legendary Weapon skins is being added and players can earn 24 limited time cosmetics through Event Packs. Alternatively, they can purchase them directly from the store.
There’s also a new Heirloom Set for Octane which unlocks for free if players collect all 24 limited time event cosmetics. Those who can’t unlock it in time can still receive it through Apex Packs after the event ends. Furthermore, players will receive Heirloom Shards – which are collected from Apex Packs – until they have enough to unlock an Heirloom Set of their choice. It will take about 500 Apex Packs but those who have already progressed enough will retroactively receive the corresponding shards.
