Much has been said about the enormity of Assassin’s Creed Origins in the build up to its launch, which is now less than a month away, and even more has been said about how the incredible capabilities of the Xbox One X have allowed Ubisoft to double down on their game’s enormity. And we have more of that for you today.
We already know that Origins is going to be a massive game, but as per a piece on Vice, it’s apparently going to be even more epic in scale than on the Xbox One X, which is definitely saying something. Players can apparently see the map stretching out into the horizons, all of which is rendered in game and all of which the players can go to and climb and explore and what have you, but in spite of this, the edges you see on the horizon are not even the ends of the map.
Ubisoft, as per their claims, have apparently digitally recreated all of Ancient Egypt, and the Xbox One X has allowed them to do so in a breathtaking manner- at least that’s what it looks like right now. David Burroughs, Ubisoft’s UK PR had the following to say: “See that mountain…that’s there. That’s rendered. You can go to it. Well, no, it— that’ll take ages. This game is massive. We’ve basically made the whole of Egypt.”
Assassin’s Creed Origins launches on October 27 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC, and on November 7 for the Xbox One X, the same day as the launch of the system itself. Stay tuned until then for more updates.
